Terms & Conditions

Last updated 25 June 2026

These terms govern your use of Interface (the “Site”), an editorial publication operated by Interface Media (“Interface Media,” “we,” “us”). Interface Media is a trade name of River Computer, a Delaware corporation. By using the Site, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Site.

Editorial content, not advice

Interface publishes journalism and conversations about brain-computer interfaces and neurotechnology. Everything on the Site is for general information only. It is not medical, clinical, legal, financial, or investment advice, and it is not a substitute for consultation with a qualified professional. Views expressed by interviewees are their own and do not necessarily reflect those of Interface Media. Never disregard or delay professional medical advice because of something you read here.

Intellectual property

The Site and its original content, design, and wordmark are owned by Interface Media and protected by copyright and other laws. You may read, share, and quote our work for personal and editorial use with attribution. You may not republish substantial portions, or reproduce the Site for commercial purposes, without our written permission. Trademarks and quotations belonging to interviewees or third parties remain theirs.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Site unlawfully; to attempt to disrupt, attack, or gain unauthorised access to it; to scrape or harvest it in ways that burden our infrastructure; or to misrepresent your affiliation with Interface. We may restrict access to anyone who does.

Contributions

If you take part in an interview or send us material, you confirm you have the right to share it and you grant Interface permission to publish, edit for length and clarity, and distribute it as part of our editorial work. We aim to represent contributions accurately; corrections can be requested using the contact details below.

Third-party links

The Site may link to other websites. We don’t control them and aren’t responsible for their content or practices. Following an external link is at your own risk.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Site is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that its content is complete or accurate at all times. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Interface Media will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Site.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we’ll revise the date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Site after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.
