Blackrock Neurotech, founded in 2008 and headquartered in Salt Lake City, is a leading brain-computer interface company and the commercial steward of the Utah Array, a penetrating intracortical microelectrode array. Its technology has been used in dozens of human implants for research and clinical trials, enabling people with paralysis to move cursors, robotic arms, and communicate. Its MoveAgain BCI system received FDA Breakthrough Device Designation in 2021, and its next-generation Neuralace interface is in development.
