NeuroNexus makes multi-channel silicon probes, instrumentation, and analysis software for neuroscience research across the central and peripheral nervous system, and designs active implantable devices for neuromodulation. It was spun out of the University of Michigan in 2004 by Daryl Kipke and colleagues, sold to Greatbatch in 2012 for around $12 million, and bought back in 2019 by the NEL Group, the Ann Arbor investment company Kipke founded with Thomas Hook.
