Who is Eugene Daneshvar?
Eugene Daneshvar is the founder of Black Swan Intellectual Property, a Silicon Valley boutique that advises neurotech and medical device inventors on patent strategy. He did his PhD in biomedical engineering at Michigan on moveable neural electrodes, using conjugated polymer actuators to let an implant deploy itself into three dimensions once it is in the brain, and later brought a case over that work in Daneshvar v. Kipke and NeuroNexus Technologies. He took his law degree at Santa Clara as an IP Fellow, trained at Wilson Sonsini, Ropes and Gray, and Oblon, and now runs his own firm.

The Patent Dispute that Turned a Neurotech Inventor into an Attorney
Dr Eugene Daneshvar built self-deploying neural electrodes, then watched the idea get patented without his name on it. Now he defends other people's inventions in search of a world where the inventor can see the product through to the end user.
